It seems as though hours have past since your party traveled into the thick fog bank. By now, you have given up on trying to determine your direction. All you can do for the time being is try an keep a consistent heading, hoping for the fog to lift.
Nervous chatter behind you reminds you of the fact that your party is still close to you, even though the fog is to thick for you to see them. Your horse snorts and dances nervously to the side. You instinctively tighten you grip on the reigns and slowly groom your horse, while muttering soothing words to her. This fog has even made your “battle hardened” steed a bit anxious.
Up in the distance you can see a break in the fog… “Is that sunlight?,” you ask yourself. A smile crosses your face as quickly realize it is just that. Without thought you spur your horse causing her to break into a gallop. You can hear your party’s horses galloping in the distance.
“Light, where there is light, there is hope.” You say aloud to yourself as your horse runs out of the fog and into the sunlight.
Greetings and Salutations,
Welcome. This site was originally intended to be a website to support a Ravenloft campaign I was going to run with my game group. A plan that I still might do but the time frame for that game is way off in the future. I am currently running our group through Monte Cook’s classic Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil campaign. For those of you who are familiar with this campaign will know that the thing is massive. It can easily take a year or so to complete depending on the speed of your game group.
After gaming with my current group for the last few years I know them all pretty well. While we all have a damn good time together, speed is not our forte. I can honestly say that I don’t see us finishing this thing anywhere between 1 and 2 years. We all know that a lot can happen of that time period. So I figure I might do my best to work on a project that might be a good filler if things change with our current game.
Over the years I have created a lot of data on my personal Ravenloft campaign setting. I found that I needed to consolidate all of that data. I also needed to create a place that is easy for me to continue to “flesh out” the world in my free time. Hence this site. I figure I can kill two birds with one stone with this site. I can work on my creation and with some luck have something to run for my players should we decide we have had our fill of our current game.
Updates to this site will happen on a “whenever I feel like it” time frame. Thanks for taking the time to swing by and take a look at it. Cheers.
